Mantis and Arachnids

Not one for the arachnophobes!

My First attempt at the tarantula. A great learning experience even though making 8 legs was a little tedious.

The most time consuming fly I have ever tied.

Each leg has been tied in exactly to fit in a realistic way.

All the spider art flies come with their own little world. Some even have egg cases!

In this display the mantis is set in hunting pose with a hummingbird feeding nearby. This piece is part of my personal collection.
